We all go off track. I know I do. It can be falling behind with our financial budget,or getting lax in meal preparation or gaining pounds on the scale.
Or it could be feeling as if our spirituality is slipping or our social life is waxing and waning.
When any one of these incidents of slippage occur, an avalanche of sorts happens. The domino effect causes lots of things to just fall apart in our lives. How depressing.
Nope. Actually I see it as an opportunity for growth. Yep, when we analyze what greased the slippery slope in the first place, we get to realize how to fix it.
For me, it is almost always my food. Once I get on track with my food, everything else falls into place. It is almost fool proof. Even if other facets of my life are going smoothly, when I tighten up my food, I find that my work, spiritual, social and physical habits are ramped up several notches.
Something to think about: What is your tipping point? What causes you to tip out of balance, and by contrast, what helps you tip back into balance?
Figure it out and you are on your way to steady growth, because it’s not the falling down that matters. It’s the speed and alacrity with which we dust ourselves off and get up again.
